Hi there, I'm Tim Owens and I'm the lead pastor here at Rutland City Church. I have the greatest occupation in the world as pastor of such a great church.
After graduating from high school God called me into full time vocational ministry. After answering that call I studied two years at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute and graduated with a degree in Religion and Church Ministry. I’ve served in many roles in the local church over the past twenty years including lead pastor, student pastor, associate pastor, and worship pastor.
My passion is leading people to become all that God intends for them to be. I must say that I get the privilege today to live out my dream to plant Rutland City Church and to pastor the people God places within it.
I am happily married to my smoking hot wife Danielle, and we have two amazing boys, Gavin and Garrett.
My hobbies include fishing, hunting, and going junk hunting at tag sales and antique shops.
I was born in Virginia, and raised in north Georgia. I was born again at the age of 12 when I realized I truly needed Jesus as my Savior and Lord. It wasn't long after this that God called me to full-time ministry.
While studying at North Greenville University in South Carolina, I met my best friend and wife, Meredith. We served in camp ministry together before God led us to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
While in Seminary, God called us to invest our lives into what He is doing here in Vermont. I finished the Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry in May of 2015 and moved to Pittsford, Vermont in August.
We have three wonderful children, Creed, Salem, and Graham. We love serving together with Rutland City Church.
I enjoy anything outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc. I also enjoy playing music and watching movies with my family.
I was born in Macon, Georgia, but grew up in North Carolina. I graduated from Mars Hill College with a B.A. in History.
I am married to Kimberly, a wonderful lady, and we live in West Rutland.
I was saved at an early age, but didn't devote my life fully to Christ until the age of 29. In July 2014, I felt God calling me to full-time ministry in Vermont. I love serving the people of Rutland.
My hobbies are hunting and fishing, reading, spending time with my best friend and wife, Kimberly. We enjoy looking through antique shops and gardening.
I was born in Greensboro, NC but attended school in Wake Forest, NC. I'm attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary pusuing a B.A. in Christian Studies, with a minor in student ministry and preaching.
I came to Christ when I was nine years old, but I didn't truly start following him until I was a freshman in college. That's when God called me into full-time Christian ministry.
While at Southeastern Jesus has taught me so much and he has shown me how amazing his bride, the local church is, like Rutland City Church is. He has given me a love for all Bible believing churches and the passion to plant a church one day. I believe he has brought me to Rutland to let me grow and learn what church planting is all about.
My hobbies are sports, especially lacrosse and Duke basketball! I also enjoy being outdoors, bike riding and hanging in my portable eno hammock! I have a passion for technology and web design as well!
